Since
1989 the Academy of Tutoring Professionals
has prided itself in hiring only top quality
applicants from the University of
California in Irvine. All tutors are required to
hold at least an undergraduate degree.
In
some cases, extremely qualified seniors are also hired.
Following is a brief listing
of our tutors and their qualifications:
STEVE ALEMANSOUR, MS, MA:
Steve is a professor of mathematics at
Saddleback College in Mission Viejo. He holds 2
graduate degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical
Engineering and has over 15 years of experience teaching
at the Elementary,
secondary, and university level.
His articles on graphing Calculators
have been widely published by the Texas
Instruments Corporation.
GITA ALEMANSOUR, BS:
Gita has taught upper level mathematics for the St.
Michael private school. She has conducted hundreds of tutoring
sessions at our center
since 1989. She holds a bachelor of science in
Engineering and has several
years of experience as a design engineer.
ROBERT CRIST, MA:
Robert has 26 years of teaching experience in the
public school
system. He holds a Master of Arts in marriage, Family,
and Child Guidance. He holds credentials:K-8 Life,
Standing Secondary Teaching Credential K-14.
SHERRY LIN, MA:
Sherry holds a Master of Arts degree in
Education from the
Claremont Graduate School. She is currently an
elementary school teacher at the Santa Ana Unified
School District.
